England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being nominated for this award is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the earliest-ever winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious three major tournament wins.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin finished second in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
