The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Car Crash
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
