Ex- Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson has withdrawn from T20 internationals, declaring it is "the appropriate moment for me personally and the side".

The veteran cricketer is set to feature in the long-format contests against the Windies in the final month and will keep participating in 50-over and T20 franchise cricket.

Remarkable Playing Record

He notched up 2,575 runs at an average of 33.44 runs and a scoring rate of 123 in 93 international T20 games. Solely Martin Guptill, with 3,531 runs, has scored more for the Kiwi side.

Skipper Successes

As skipper, Williamson guided his national team to the T20 World Cup final in 2021, top-scoring with 85 in loss to Australia.
